From the majestic landscapes of Finland to California's El Camino Real track and New York's 1920s art scene, travel on a musical adventure with our Premier Ensembles in this not-to-be-missed global concert in the new venue of the Central Coast Leagues Club.
Highlights include our flagship ensemble, Central Coast Youth Orchestra, performing Jean Sibelius' 1899 tone poem, Finlandia. A piece about national identity, Finlandia not only captures the vast, majestic landscape of Finland but also its national pride at a crucial moment in the country's history.
The Primary Wind Ensemble will be performing an arrangement of Aaron Copeland's Fanfare for the Common Man and Alfred Reed's Spanish-infused El Camino Real (named after the almost 1000km route connecting the 21 Spanish missions in California) - a Latin fantasy based on traditional chord progressions used by Spanish flamenco guitarists.
Plus much more!
Why not grab a pre-show dinner and drink then enjoy a wonderful evening of the finest music performed by musicians in our flagship ensembles - with conductors Kevin Smith, E-Yang Liu and Patrick Brennan.
Tickets: $25, Under-16s Free from Humanitix: events.humanitix.com/premier-ensembles-concert
