Crossroads Festival of Chambermusic Artistic Director Madeleine Easton's life has been led with Bach. From her earliest days playing Bach minuets in Suzuki books, to discovering the solo sonatas, orchestral suites and Brandenburg concertos in High school, to the great masses and Cantatas in adult life, Bach has always been there, a constant, steadfast companion.

But how does one keep coming back to the same music without it getting stale? Madeleine says Each and every time you revisit Bach, you find deeper meaning within the notes.
You try and transcend the technique in order to express what is there and how it makes you feel. You find different perspectives, just like any great work of art revisited time after time.

See Madeleine Easton and Bach Akademie Australia at the historic St Mary's Chapel for Bach on Sunday - Crossroads Chamber Music Festival - Sunday 10 September, 11.30am.
